Hello there!

My name is Elín Margot, and I'm a service and product designer.

Currently graduating for an MA in service design at the Insitu Lab school (Diplôme Supérieur d'Arts Appliqués, translation for my frenchies).

Curiously I'm passionate about sci-fi,
I love to imagine what tomorrow will be. By interacting with people like stakeholders of the design project, thinking together about our habits, asking ourselves what our dreams are, we can renew reality.

I rather focus on aspirations than "problems"; because I believe that is from fantasy that we may build tomorrow's society. And by that, we design alternatives in order to improve our everyday life.

2012
Invited to scientific mission on Jan Mayen Island in Norway. Employed as a geologist intern.

2014
First design internship with LDV agency, making upcycling and DIY objects for two month.
Also tourist guide on an American geologist university trip around Myvatn.

2016
Internship in Humaniteam service design agency, working on inclusive tourism project.
Internship with Hanna Dis Whitehead, preparation of the exhibition "Tilraun - leir og fleira" at Hafnarborg.

2013
Workshop with the digital artist Aude Pariset.
Workshop with the ceramic workshop "l'atelier des garçons".
Design project supervised by Guillaume Chomette and Patrick Nadeau.

2017
Workshop with the HEAR (Strasbourg's art school) design the scenography of the second biennal of edition.
